Delivery and Assembly

Each order is sent in two parts: one containing the slats and the other with the rail and brackets. Our own courier service manages delivery, which may be split, so items may arrive separately.

By default, the blinds are supplied with top-fix brackets. However, face-fix brackets can be requested if you would prefer to fit them directly into the window frame or outside the recess.

Measuring Tools You Will Need

  • A steel tape measure
  • A pencil to mark and note sizes
  • A worksheet to record measurements
  • A ladder (for taller windows, if necessary)

Helpful Measuring Tips

  • Always write height and width correctly without interchanging them, as mistakes will result in blinds that do not fit.
  • If measuring more than one window, measure each individually. Even slight variations between windows can affect fitting.
  • For accuracy, always use a metal tape measure. Fabric or plastic tapes can stretch or bend, giving inaccurate results.

Measuring Outside the Recess

When fitting outside the recess, measure the exact area you would like the blind to cover. To reduce light gaps, allow the blind to overlap the recess by at least 70mm at the top and 50mm on each side.

At the bottom, overlap length is up to you, though you should consider obstructions such as radiators.

Always use a steel tape measure for precise results.

Measuring Inside the Recess

If you want the blind to fit neatly inside the recess, measure the full width and height of the recess (the opening itself). We will make the necessary deductions for a perfect fit.

  • Take three measurements for both width and drop.
  • Record the smallest measurement for each.
  • Do not make deductions yourself; we will do this for accuracy.
  • Again, always use a metal tape measure.

Each vertical blind will arrive with the following items:

  • Top fix brackets (x2)
  • Face fix brackets (x2)
  • Hangers (x1)
  • Allen key (x1)
  • Stabilising chains (x2)
  • Safety hook (x1)
  • Wood screws (x4)
  • Weights (x1)
  • Pencil
  • Screws
  • Drill with correct drill bits
  • Crosshead screwdriver
  • Metal tape measure

Face Fix Installation

  • Place the brackets approximately 5cm from each end of where the headrail will sit.
  • If more than two brackets are included, position the extra brackets evenly across the length of the blind.
  • Check that the fixings are suitable for the type of wall or surface you are securing the brackets to.
  • To install, hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, then rotate it into place.
  • Secure by tightening the short screw located at the front of the bracket.

Top Fix Installation

  • Measure and mark the correct positions, ensuring clearance for any window handles or protruding features.
  • Position the brackets around 10cm from each end of the headrail to avoid obstruction.
  • If extra brackets are supplied, fit them evenly across the rail length.
  • Ensure fixings are suitable for your mounting surface.
  • Hook the headrail into the bracket and rotate until it clicks securely.
  • To release, simply press the bracket at the marked point.
