Features of Our Vertical Blackout Blinds
Each blind will arrive in two parts: one package for the slats and another for the rail and brackets. Deliveries are handled by our own courier service, and in some cases, items may arrive separately on different days.
Bracket Types
Your blind will come with standard top fix brackets. If you prefer, you can request face fix brackets, which are ideal for fitting either inside the window frame or outside the recess.

Tips for Accurate Measuring
Outside Recess
To measure outside the recess, record the exact area you want the blind to cover. For minimum light gaps, we recommend allowing the blind to overlap the recess by at least 70mm at the top and 50mm on each side. At the bottom, the overlap is up to you, though you should consider items like radiators. Always use a steel measuring tape, as cloth tapes can bend or stretch and give incorrect readings.
Inside Recess
If you want the blind to fit inside the recess, measure the full width and height of the opening. We will make the required deductions to ensure the blind fits perfectly. Take measurements in three places for both width and drop, then use the smallest figure. Do not make adjustments yourself, as this will be done for you. Again, a metal measuring tape is best for accuracy.
Before fitting, make sure you have everything supplied with your vertical blind.
Additional Equipment You Will Need
Face Fix
Place the brackets roughly 5cm from each end of the headrail position. If more than two brackets are provided, space them evenly along the length of the blind. Ensure that the fixings are suitable for the surface or wall. To attach, hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, rotate it into place, and tighten the screw at the front to secure.
Top Fix
When fitting inside a recess, measure and mark carefully to allow for obstructions such as window handles. Position the brackets around 10cm from each end of the headrail to ensure clearance from handles. If more brackets are supplied, fix them at equal distances across the rail. Make sure the wall fixings are strong and suitable for the surface. To fit, tilt and hook the headrail into the bracket, then rotate until it clicks. To release, press the release point on the bracket.
