Tools You Will Need:

  • Steel measuring tape
  • Pencil to mark and record measurements
  • Worksheet to note down measurements
  • Ladder (if necessary for tall windows)

Tips for Accurate Measuring:

  • Avoid mixing up height and width measurements, as this could result in a blind that does not fit.
  • When measuring more than one window, do not assume they are the same size. Measure each window individually, as small differences can affect the fit.

Outside Recess Measurements:

  • Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To reduce gaps and prevent light from leaking through, it is recommended that the blind extends at least 70mm above the window recess and 50mm on each side.
  • The bottom overlap can be chosen according to personal preference, but consider obstacles like radiators.
  • Always use a metal tape measure, as fabric tapes can stretch or bend and give inaccurate results.

Inside Recess Measurements:

  • Measure the full width and height of the recess if you want the blind to fit inside. The correct deductions will be made to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Measure in three places for both width and drop, and use the smallest measurement.
  • Do not make any deductions yourself; the manufacturer will adjust for a precise fit.
  • Use a metal tape measure for accuracy.

Items Included with Your Blind:

  • Top fix brackets x2
  • Face fix brackets x2
  • Hangers x1
  • Allen key x1
  • Stabilising chain x2
  • Safety hook x1
  • Wood screws x4
  • Weight x1

Additional Equipment You Will Need:

  • Pencil
  • Screws
  • Drill with suitable bits
  • Crosshead screwdriver
  • Metal tape measure

Face Fix Installation:

  • Position the brackets approximately 5cm from each end of the headrail. If more than two brackets are supplied, space any extra brackets evenly along the length of the blind. Ensure that the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface you are using.
  • Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket and rotate it into position. Secure the headrail by tightening the short screw at the front of the bracket.

Top Fix Installation:

  • Measure and mark the positions, allowing for obstacles such as window handles that extend into the recess. Place the brackets about 10cm from each end to clear window handles. If more than two brackets are supplied, fit the remaining brackets evenly along the blind. Ensure the fixings are suitable for the wall or ceiling surface.
  • Tilt the headrail into the bracket and rotate it until it clicks into place. To remove the headrail, press the bracket at the release point.
