Tools you will need:

• Steel measuring tape
• Pencil to mark and write your measurements
• Worksheet to record your numbers
• Ladder for tall windows

Tips for accurate measurements:

• Be careful not to mix up height and width measurements. Writing them incorrectly can result in a blind that does not fit.
• If measuring multiple windows, measure each one separately. Small differences in size can affect how the blinds fit.

Outside Recess Measurements:

• Measure the area where you want the blind to cover. To reduce light coming through, the blind should overlap the window by at least 70mm at the top and 50mm on each side.
• Bottom overlap is your choice, but consider obstacles such as radiators.
• Use a metal tape measure, as cloth tapes can stretch and give inaccurate results.

Inside Recess Measurements:

• Measure the full width and height of the recess if you want the blind to fit inside. We will make the necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit.
• Measure three points for both width and drop, and use the smallest numbers.
• Do not make deductions yourself; these will be done to guarantee the blind fits perfectly.
• Always use a metal tape measure for accuracy.

Extra tools you will need:

• Pencil
• Screws
• Drill with correct bits
• Crosshead screwdriver
• Metal tape measure

Face Fix Installation:

• Place the brackets about 5cm from each end of the headrail. If more than two brackets are included, space any extra brackets evenly along the length. Ensure the fixings are suitable for your wall or surface.
• Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket and rotate it into position. Secure by tightening the small screw at the front of the bracket.

Top Fix Installation:

• Measure and mark the positions, leaving space for any obstacles such as window handles. Place the brackets about 10cm from each end to avoid obstruction. If there are extra brackets, space them evenly along the blind. Ensure fixings are suitable for the surface.
• Tilt the headrail into the bracket and rotate it until it clicks into place. To remove, press the bracket at the marked point.
