Avoid mixing up height and width when writing down measurements, as this may result in a blind that does not fit. If measuring multiple windows, do not assume they are the same size. Measure each window individually, as even slight differences can affect the final fit.
Measure the full area where you want the blind to extend. To reduce light leakage, the blind should overlap at least 70mm above the window recess and 50mm on each side. The bottom overlap is optional but remember to consider obstacles such as radiators. Use a metal tape measure, as cloth tapes can stretch or bend and give inaccurate readings.
If you want the blind to fit inside the window recess, measure the total width and height of the opening. We will make the necessary adjustments to ensure a perfect fit.
Measure in three places for both width and drop, and use the smallest measurement. Do not make any deductions yourself; this guarantees the blind will fit properly. Always use a metal tape measure to avoid inaccurate readings.
Ensure you have all components supplied with your blind before starting.
For face fixing, place the brackets around 5cm from each end of the headrail. If additional brackets are supplied, space them evenly along the length of the blind. Make sure the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface you are attaching them to.
Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket and rotate it into place. Secure it by tightening the short screw on the front of the bracket.
For top fixing, measure and mark the bracket positions to avoid obstructions like window handles. Position the brackets approximately 10cm from each end to provide clearance. Space any extra brackets evenly along the blindβs length. Ensure the fixings are appropriate for the wall or ceiling surface.
Tilt the headrail into the bracket and rotate it until it clicks into place. To release the headrail, press the release point on the bracket.
