Day and Night Blinds – Inside Window Recess

To fit a blind inside a window recess, you must measure the full width and height of the recessed area from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measurement

• Take three measurements across the window recess: at the top, middle, and bottom
• Take three measurements vertically: left, centre, and right

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting

• Use a steel tape measure to get exact measurements in centimetres, to the nearest millimetre
• Measure in three specific places for both width and height, and always use the smallest measurement when ordering
• The factory will make any necessary deductions for recess-specified blinds to ensure a perfect fit
• Be careful when measuring around obstacles such as tiles, handles, or rails to ensure the measurements are accurate

Outside Window Recess

If you prefer the blind to fit outside the window recess, it will be made exactly to the measurements you provide, with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting

• Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To reduce sunlight effectively, we recommend an overlap of 6 cm on each side and 7 cm at the top of the window
• Take care around obstacles such as tiles, rails, or handles when measuring to ensure the placement is correct
• You may choose to have an overlap at the bottom of the window if you wish

Once the measurements are correct, the blind can be installed. Make sure all fixtures are secured, and the blind moves smoothly using the remote control.
