For Roller Blinds Only

Inside Recess Measurement:

To fit the blind inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the recessed area (from wall to wall).

  1. Take three measurements across the window recess: top, middle, and bottom.
  2. Take three measurements down the window: left, right, and centre.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting:

  • Use a steel tape measure for precise measurements in centimetres, to the nearest millimetre.
  • Measure width and height in three specific places and use the smallest measurement when ordering.
  • The factory will make any necessary deductions for recess-specified blinds to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Take care to measure accurately around any obstructions, such as tiles, handles, or rails.

Outside Recess Measurement:

For blinds fitted outside the recess, we will make the blind to the exact measurements you provide, with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting:

  • To cover the area effectively and block sunlight, it is recommended to overlap 6cm on either side and 7cm at the top.
  • Measure the exact width of the area you want to cover.
  • Take care to measure around obstructions, such as tiles or rails.
  • You may choose to overlap the bottom of the window if desired.

Please select your preferred mounting type:

Top Mount: Mounting to the top of the window recess or ceiling.

Face Mount: Mounting to the outside face of the window frame.

Position the brackets to allow the blind to move freely. Ensure the brackets are placed so the blind does not hit door handles or window fixtures. Loosely position both brackets on the blind and place it in the window to confirm the correct placement. This will help centre the blind accurately.

  1. Place the control side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark the first bracket position, ensuring it is level and not twisted, as this will affect operation. Drill holes and secure the bracket using raw plugs if fitting to a wall.
  2. Insert one side of the blind into the mounted bracket. Then position the other bracket, mark it level with the first, drill holes, and secure it with raw plugs if needed.

Mounting the Blind:

  • Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin side bracket. The pin end has a spring mechanism to assist with mounting and removal.
  • Insert the control mechanism into the control side bracket, ensuring the central lug points downwards and hooks securely into place.

Operating the Blind

Once fitted, use the chain on the side to raise and lower the blind.

P-Clip Installation:

  • Install the device as far as possible from the control mechanism to prevent the chain from becoming slack.
  • Ensure the control chain is positioned inside the P-clip. The P-clip should sit at the bottom of the loop, keeping the chain tight.
  • Secure the tensioning device to the wall end-to-end with the blind. This ensures the chain remains taut and under constant tension, allowing smooth operation.
