Inside the Window Recess

To fit a blind inside a window recess, measure the full width and height of the recess from wall to wall.

How to Measure

• Take three measurements across the width of the window recess: top, middle, and bottom.
• Take three measurements for the height: left, centre, and right.
• Use a steel tape measure and record measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
• Always use the smallest measurement when placing your order.
• The factory will make any necessary adjustments for recess-specified blinds to ensure a perfect fit.
• Be careful when measuring around obstructions like tiles, handles, or rails to get accurate measurements.

Outside the Window Recess

For blinds fitted outside the window recess, provide the exact measurements for your blind. No deductions will be made.

Guide for Outside Fit

• To prevent sunlight glare, we recommend an overlap of 6cm on each side and 7cm at the top of the window.
• Measure the exact width of the area to be covered.
• Take care around obstructions like tiles or rails to ensure correct positioning.
• Overlap at the bottom of the window is optional and up to you.

Please choose your preferred mounting type:

• Top Mount: Fixed to the top of the window recess or ceiling.
• Face Mount: Fixed to the front of the window frame.

When fitting, position the brackets so the blind can operate freely, avoiding contact with door handles or other window fixtures. Loosely place both brackets on the blind and position it in the window to ensure correct placement. This helps to centre the blind accurately.

Place the control side bracket on the same side as the chain control mechanism. Mark the bracket position, making sure it is level and not twisted, to avoid operational issues. Drill holes and secure the bracket with raw plugs if attaching to a wall.

Insert one side of the blind into the mounted bracket. Then position the second bracket on the opposite side, mark its position level with the first, and secure it in place.

Mounting the Blind

• Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin-side bracket. The spring mechanism on this end allows easy mounting and removal.
• Place the control mechanism into the control-side bracket. Ensure the central lug points downwards and hooks into the bracket securely.

Operating the Blind

• Once installed, use the side chain to raise or lower the blind.

Using the P-Clip

• Install the P-clip at the maximum distance from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the looped chain.
• Ensure the control chain runs inside the P-clip, keeping it tight. The P-clip should sit at the bottom of the loop to allow smooth movement.
• Secure the tensioning device to the wall, maintaining constant chain tension for proper operation.
