For Roller Blinds Only

To fit the blind inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the recessed area from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measurement

  1. Measure three points across the window recess: top, middle, and bottom.
  2. Measure three points vertically: left, right, and centre.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting

  • Use a steel tape measure and record measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
  • Measure width and height in three places, and always use the smallest measurement when ordering.
  • The factory will make any necessary deductions for blinds specified for recess fitting to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Be careful when measuring to avoid obstructions like tiles, handles, or window rails, making sure the position is accurate.

For Outside Recess Fitting

If fitting outside the window recess, the blind will be made exactly to the measurements you provide, with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting

  • Decide the area you want the blind to cover. To block sunlight, we recommend an overlap of 6cm on each side and 7cm at the top of the window.
  • Measure the width of the area carefully.
  • Be aware of obstructions such as tiles or rails to ensure correct positioning.
  • You may choose to have an overlap at the bottom of the window if you prefer.

Please choose your preferred mounting style:

Top Mount: Fit to an overhead surface, such as the top of the window recess or the ceiling.

Face Mount: Fit to the face of the window frame on the outside.

  • Position the brackets so that the blind can operate freely, without hitting door handles or window hardware.
  • Loosely position both brackets on the blind and place it in the window to determine the exact bracket positions, which will make centering the blind easier.

Installing the Brackets and Blind

  1. Place the control side bracket on the same side as the chain control mechanism. Mark the position carefully, ensuring it is level and not twisted, as this will affect the blind’s operation.
  2. Drill holes and secure the bracket in place using wall plugs if fitting to a wall.
  3. Insert one side of the blind into the mounted bracket.
  4. Position the other bracket at the opposite end of the blind, mark it so it is level with the first, drill holes, and fix it in place.

Mounting the Blind

  • Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin side bracket. The pin end has a spring mechanism to make mounting and removal easier.
  • Insert the control mechanism into the control side bracket. Ensure the central lug on the control side faces down and hooks into the bracket securely.

Operating the Blind

  • Use the chain on the side to raise and lower the blind.

P-Clip Installation

  • Install the device as far as possible from the control mechanism to prevent the chain from becoming slack.
  • Make sure the chain passes through the p-clip, keeping it tight and allowing smooth operation.
  • Screw the tensioning device to the wall at the end of the blind to maintain constant tension on the chain, keeping it permanently tight.
