Inside Window Recess Fit: Measure the full width and height of the window recess, from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measurement Guide:

  • Take three measurements across the width at the top, middle, and bottom of the window.
  • Take three measurements for the height: left, right, and centre.
  • Use a steel tape measure to get precise measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
  • Record measurements in three specific points for width and height and use the smallest measurement when placing your order.
  • The factory will make any necessary deductions for blinds specified for recess fitting to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Be careful when measuring around obstructions such as tiles, handles, or rails to ensure accuracy.

Outside Window Recess Fit: The blind will be made exactly to your specified measurements with no deductions.

Outside Recess Measurement Guide:

  • Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To prevent sunlight from coming through, we suggest an overlap of 6cm on each side and 7cm at the top of the window.
  • Measure the width of the area carefully.
  • Be mindful of obstacles such as tiles or rails to ensure the placement is accurate.
  • You may choose to add overlap at the bottom of the window if desired.

You can choose between:

Top Mount: Fitting the blind to an overhead surface such as the top of the window recess or ceiling.

Face Mount: Fitting the blind to the front surface of the window frame.

When fitting, position the brackets to allow the blind to operate freely. Ensure that the brackets are positioned so the blind does not touch door handles or other parts of the window. Loosely position both brackets on the blind and place it in the window to check the positioning. This will make it easier to centre the blind.

Place the control side bracket on the same side as the control mechanism. Mark the position of the first bracket, ensuring it is level and not twisted, as this could prevent the blind from operating correctly. Drill holes and fix the bracket, using raw plugs if attaching to a wall.

Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Place the other bracket at the opposite end, mark its position, and ensure it is level with the first. Drill holes and fix the bracket into place with raw plugs if attaching to a wall.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin end of the blind into the corresponding bracket. The pin end has a spring mechanism to allow easy mounting and removal. Insert the control side of the blind into the control side bracket. The central lug on the control mechanism should point downwards and fit into the cross-section of the bracket, hooking securely in place.

Operating the Blind

Once installed, use the control chain or remote to raise and lower the blind.

P-Clip Instructions:

  • Install the P-clip as far from the control mechanism as possible to prevent slack in the looped chain.
  • Ensure the control chain runs inside the P-clip. Keep the chain tight, with the P-clip at the bottom of the loop, allowing smooth movement.
  • Secure the tensioning device to the wall along the blind to maintain constant tension, keeping the chain tight at all times.
