Inside Recess Fit

To fit the blind inside a window recess, measure the full width and height of the recessed area from wall to wall.

  1. Take three width measurements across the top, middle, and bottom of the window recess.
  2. Take three height measurements down the left, centre, and right of the recess.
  3. Use a steel tape measure and record measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
  4. Use the smallest measurement when ordering to ensure the blind fits perfectly.
  5. The factory will make any necessary deductions for recess-specified blinds.
  6. Be careful when measuring around obstacles such as tiles, handles, and rails to ensure accuracy.

Outside Recess Fit

For blinds that fit outside the window recess, we will make the blind exactly to your specified measurements with no deductions.

  • Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To reduce sunlight, we recommend overlapping by 6 cm on each side and 7 cm at the top.
  • Be careful around obstacles like tiles and rails.
  • Overlap at the bottom of the window is optional.

Choose your preferred mounting type:

  • Top Mount: Attaches to an overhead surface such as the top of the window recess or ceiling.
  • Face Mount: Attaches to the face of the window frame outside the recess.

Fitting Instructions

  1. Position the brackets so the blind operates freely without hitting handles or window frames.
  2. Loosely place both brackets on the blind and hold it in position to centre it.
  3. Place the control side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Ensure it is level to prevent incorrect operation. Drill holes and fix with raw plugs if needed.
  4. Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Place the other bracket at the opposite end, mark its position, check it is level, drill, and fix it in place.

Mounting the Blind

  • Insert the pin end of the blind into the pin-side bracket. The spring mechanism allows easy mounting and removal.
  • Fit the control side mechanism into the control-side bracket. The central lug should point downwards and hook into the bracket securely.

Operating the Blind

  • Once installed, use the chain to raise and lower the blind.

P-Clip Installation

  • Install the P-clip as far as possible from the control mechanism to keep the chain tight.
  • Ensure the control chain sits inside the P-clip and is under constant tension. Screw the tensioning device to the wall to maintain proper chain operation.
