Tips for Accurate Measurement
Outside Recess Measurement
Measure the exact area where you want the blind to overlap. To reduce light leakage, we recommend a 70mm overlap at the top and 50mm on each side. Overlap at the bottom is optional but consider obstacles like radiators. Always use a metal tape measure, as cloth tapes can stretch and give inaccurate readings.
Inside Recess Measurement
If you want your blind to fit inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the recess (the “hole” size). We will make the necessary deductions to ensure a perfect fit.
Items Supplied with Your Blind
Face Fixing
Position the brackets about 5cm from the ends of the headrail. If more than two brackets are supplied, space the additional brackets evenly along the length of the blind. Ensure the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface you are using.
Hook the back of the headrail into the brackets and rotate the headrail into position. Secure it by tightening the short screw at the front of each bracket.
Top Fixing
Measure and mark the area to allow for obstacles such as window handles. Position the brackets about 10cm from the ends of the headrail so that the blind clears any handles. If more than two brackets are supplied, space the additional brackets evenly across the headrail. Ensure the fixings are suitable for your wall or surface.
Tilt and hook the headrail into the brackets, then rotate it into place until it clicks. To remove the headrail, press the bracket at the designated point.
