Roller Only Measurement

Inside Recess Fitting

To fit the blind inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the recess from wall to wall.

  • Take three width measurements across the top, middle, and bottom of the window.
  • Take three height measurements: left, centre, and right.
  • Use a steel tape measure for accurate readings in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
  • Always use the smallest measurement for ordering. The factory will make any deductions needed for recess-specified blinds to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Take care around obstacles such as tiles, handles, or rails to ensure your measurements are precise.

Outside Recess Fitting

For blinds that sit outside the window recess, the blind will be made to your exact measurements with no deductions.

  • Measure the full area you want the blind to cover.
  • To block sunlight effectively, we recommend an overlap of 6 cm on each side and 7 cm at the top.
  • Overlap at the bottom is optional.
  • Be careful to avoid obstructions like tiles or rails to ensure accurate positioning.

You can choose between:

Top Mount – Fitted to an overhead surface such as the top of the recess or ceiling.

Face Mount – Fitted to the face of the wall outside the window frame.

  • Position the brackets so the blind can operate freely without touching window handles or doors.
  • Loosely fit both brackets on the blind and hold it in place to check the positioning. This will help you centre the blind.
  • Place the control-side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark its position, making sure it is level and not twisted. Drill the holes and fix the bracket, using raw plugs if fitting to a wall.
  • Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Place the other bracket at the opposite end and mark its position, ensuring it is level with the first. Drill holes and fix it securely.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin-side bracket. The pin has a spring mechanism to make mounting and removing the blind easier. Insert the control mechanism into the control-side bracket. The central lug should point downwards and lock into the cross-section of the bracket.

Operating the Blind

Once installed, use the side chain to raise or lower the blind.

P-Clip Safety Device

The P-clip should be installed as far as possible from the control mechanism to prevent the chain from becoming slack.

  • Ensure the chain runs inside the P-clip and remains tight.
  • The P-clip should sit at the bottom of the loop.
  • Secure the tensioning device to the wall along the length of the blind so the chain stays tight and under constant tension.
