Inside Recess Measurement

To fit a blind inside a window recess, measure the full width and height of the recess from wall to wall.

1. Take three horizontal measurements across the recess at the top, middle, and bottom.
2. Take three vertical measurements down the recess at the left, right, and centre.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting:

• Use a steel tape measure to get precise measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
• Measure both width and height in three places, and use the smallest measurement when ordering.
• The factory will make any necessary deductions for recess blinds to ensure a perfect fit.
• Be careful of obstructions like tiles, handles, or rails to ensure accuracy.

Outside Recess Measurement

If fitting the blind outside the window recess, the blind will be made exactly to your specified measurements with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting:

• To block sunlight effectively, we recommend an overlap of 6cm on either side and 7cm at the top.
• Measure the exact width of the area you want to cover.
• Take care when measuring around obstacles such as tiles or rails.
• You may choose whether to overlap the bottom of the window.

Please select your preferred mounting method:

Top Mount: Fit to the ceiling or the top of the window recess.

Face Mount: Fit to the outside face of the window frame.

• Position the brackets so the blind can move freely without touching door handles or the window frame.
• Loosely fit both brackets on the blind and place it in the window to check alignment. This will help you centre the blind accurately.

1. Place the control-side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark its position carefully, making sure it is level and straight. Drill holes and secure the bracket using raw plugs if fixing to a wall.
2. Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Place the second bracket at the other end, mark it level with the first, and drill and secure it with raw plugs if required.

Mounting the Blind:

• Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin-side bracket. The pin has a spring mechanism to make mounting and removal easier.
• Insert the control mechanism into the control-side bracket. Ensure the central lug points downwards and hooks securely into the bracket.

Operating the Blind

After installation, use the side chain to raise and lower the blind smoothly.

P-Clip Safety Device

• Install the P-clip as far from the control mechanism as possible to prevent the chain from becoming slack.
• Ensure the control chain passes through the P-clip and sits tightly at the bottom of the loop.
• Fix the tensioning device securely along the wall from end to end of the blind. This keeps the chain under constant tension, ensuring smooth and safe operation.
