Roller-Only Measurement

For a blind to be fitted inside a window recess, you must measure the complete width and height of the recessed space, from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measurement

Take three width measurements across the top, middle, and bottom of the recess. Then take three height measurements on the left, right, and centre.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting

Always use a steel tape measure for accuracy, measuring in centimetres to the nearest millimetre. For ordering, use the smallest measurement for both width and height. The factory will make any necessary deductions for blinds ordered as β€œrecess fit” to ensure they fit correctly. Be mindful of any obstructions such as handles, tiles, or rails that may affect where the blind sits.

Outside Recess Measurement

When ordering a blind to fit outside the window recess, it will be manufactured to the exact measurements you provide, with no deductions made.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting

Measure the area that you would like the blind to cover. To reduce glare and sunlight, it is recommended to add an overlap of 6 cm on each side and 7 cm above the window. Measure the full width of the coverage area. Again, be mindful of obstructions such as tiles or rails that may interfere with fitting. You may also choose whether or not to allow the blind to overlap at the bottom of the window.

Please choose the fitting method you prefer:

Top Mount (ceiling fit): Attached to an overhead surface, such as the ceiling or the top of the recess.

Face Mount (wall fit): Fixed directly to the face of the wall or window frame.

Position the brackets so the blind operates freely without interference from handles, frames, or other fittings. First, loosely place both brackets onto the blind and hold it against the window to check positioning. This will help you centre the blind and determine where the brackets need to be fixed.

Place the control-side bracket on the same side as the chain control. Mark its position carefully, ensuring it is level. If the bracket is not straight, the blind will not function correctly. Drill the holes and secure the bracket, using raw plugs when fitting to a wall.

Next, insert one end of the blind into the first bracket. Then place the second bracket onto the other end of the blind, mark its position, and ensure it lines up with the first bracket. Drill and fix it into place, again using raw plugs for wall fittings.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin end of the blind into the pin-side bracket. The pin has a spring mechanism to make fitting and removing the blind easier. Then insert the control mechanism into the control-side bracket. The lug on the control side must point downward and lock securely into the bracket.

Operating the Blind

Once the blind is installed, simply use the side chain to raise and lower it.

P-Clip

The safety device must be positioned as far as possible from the control mechanism so that the looped chain remains tight.

Ensure the chain passes through the P-clip and that it stays firm. The clip should sit at the lowest point of the loop, allowing the chain to move smoothly. Screw the tension device into the wall at the side of the blind, keeping the chain fully stretched and under tension at all times.
