For recess fitting (roller only):

To fit the blind inside a window recess, measure the full width and height of the recessed area (wall to wall).

Inside recess measurements:

Take three measurements across the width of the recess – at the top, middle, and bottom of the window.

Take three measurements for the height – on the left, right, and centre.

Guide for inside recess fitting:

  • Use a steel tape measure to get precise measurements in centimetres, recorded to the nearest millimetre.
  • Measure in three positions for both width and height, and use the smallest measurement when placing your order.
  • The factory will make any necessary deductions to ensure the blind fits perfectly in a recess.
  • Be careful of obstacles such as tiles, window handles, or rails to ensure accurate measurements.

For outside recess fitting:

If fitting the blind outside the window recess, the blind will be made exactly to your specified measurements with no deductions.

Guide for outside recess fitting:

  • Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To prevent sunlight from entering, we recommend an overlap of 6 cm on each side and 7 cm at the top of the window.
  • Take the exact width of the area.
  • Watch out for obstacles like tiles or rails to ensure correct positioning.
  • Overlap at the bottom of the window is optional and entirely up to you.

Please choose your preferred mounting method:

Top mount: Fixed to the top surface of the window recess or the ceiling.

Face mount: Fixed to the front of the wall or outside the window frame.

Position the brackets to allow the blind to move freely. Make sure the brackets do not touch window handles, doors, or the window frame. Hold both brackets loosely on the blind and place it where it will be installed to help you decide the exact bracket positions and to centre the blind accurately.

Fit the control-side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark its position carefully, ensuring it is level and straight to prevent the blind from operating incorrectly. Drill holes and fix the bracket securely, using wall plugs if mounting on a wall.

Insert one side of the blind into the mounted bracket. Place the second bracket at the other end of the blind, mark its position, and ensure it is level with the first bracket. Drill and secure the second bracket in the same way.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin end of the blind into the pin-side bracket. The pin has a spring mechanism to make fitting and removal easier. Insert the control mechanism into the control-side bracket. Ensure the central lug on the control mechanism points downwards and locks into the bracket securely.

Operating the Blind

Once installed, use the side chain to raise and lower the blind smoothly.

P-Clip Safety Device

The P-clip should be installed as far from the control mechanism as possible to prevent the chain loop from becoming slack.

Ensure the control chain passes through the P-clip. The chain should be tight, with the P-clip positioned at the bottom of the loop, allowing the chain to move freely. Screw the tensioning device to the wall, aligned with the blind, to keep the chain under constant tension. This will ensure the chain remains tight and secure at all times.
