ROLLER ONLY MEASURE

To fit the blind inside a window recess, measure the full width and height of the recessed area from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measurement

Take three width measurements across the top, middle, and bottom of the recess. Then take three height measurements down the left, right, and centre of the window.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting

Use a steel tape measure to get precise measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre. Measure in three places for both width and height and use the smallest measurement when placing your order. The factory will make any required deductions for β€œrecess specified blinds” to ensure they fit correctly. Take care when measuring around obstructions such as tiles, handles, or rails to ensure the measurements are accurate.

Outside Recess Measurement

When fitting the blind outside the window recess, the blind will be made exactly to your specified measurements, with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting

Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To prevent sunlight from entering, we recommend an overlap of approximately 6cm on each side and 7cm above the window. Measure the exact width of the area. Be careful of obstructions such as tiles or rails. You may also choose to have an overlap at the bottom of the window.

Please choose your preferred mounting style:

Top mount – fitted to an overhead surface such as the top of the window recess or the ceiling.

Face mount – fitted to the face of the wall or the outside of the window frame.

Position the brackets so the blind can move freely without touching handles, doors, or the window frame. Loosely hold both brackets on the blind and place them in the window to determine the best location. This will help centre the blind and make fitting easier.

Place the control side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark the position of the first bracket, making sure it is level and not twisted, as improper alignment will affect the blind’s operation. Drill the holes and fix the bracket in place, using raw plugs if required.

Insert one side of the blind into the mounted bracket. Then place the other bracket on the opposite end, mark its position so it is level with the first, drill the holes, and secure the second bracket using raw plugs if necessary.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin end of the blind into the pin side bracket. The pin end has a spring mechanism to make mounting and removal easier. Insert the control mechanism into the control side bracket. Ensure the central lug on the control mechanism points downwards and hooks securely into the bracket.

Operating the Blind

Once installed, raise and lower the blind using the side chain.

P-Clip

Install the device as far away as possible from the control mechanism to prevent the chain from becoming loose.

Ensure the control chain is inside the P-clip. Keep the chain tight and place the clip at the bottom of the loop. This ensures the chain operates correctly. Fix the tensioning device to the wall in line with the blind, keeping the chain tight. This will hold the chain securely and maintain constant tension.
