If fitting outside the window recess, measure the full area you want the blind to cover. To reduce light leakage, allow the blind to extend at least 70mm above the recess and 50mm on each side.
The bottom overlap is a personal choice, but ensure no obstacles, such as radiators, interfere. Always use a metal tape measure, as cloth tapes may stretch or bend and give incorrect measurements.
For blinds that fit inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the recess. We will make the necessary adjustments to ensure a precise fit.
Ensure you have all the parts included with your vertical blind before starting installation.
Position the brackets about 5cm from the ends of the headrail. If there are more than two brackets, space the extra ones evenly along the blind. Make sure the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface you are attaching them to.
Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, rotate it into place, and secure it by tightening the short screw at the front of the bracket.
Measure carefully and mark where brackets will go, leaving room for handles or other protrusions in the recess. Place the brackets around 10cm from the ends of the headrail to avoid interference from window handles. If there are more than two brackets, space the remaining ones evenly along the length. Ensure the fixings are appropriate for the wall or surface.
Tilt and hook the headrail into the bracket, then rotate it until it clicks. To remove the headrail, press the bracket release.
