Do not confuse the height and width measurements, as swapping them could result in a blind that does not fit.
For multiple windows, measure each one separately. Small differences between windows can affect the final fit, so always record each measurement individually.
Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To reduce light gaps, allow the blind to extend at least 70mm above the recess and 50mm on each side.
The bottom overlap is your choice, but consider any obstacles, such as radiators. Always use a metal tape measure, as cloth tapes can stretch or bend and give inaccurate results.
If you want the blind to fit inside a window recess, measure the full width and height of the opening. We will make the necessary deductions to ensure a perfect fit.
Measure three points for both width and drop, and use the smallest measurement. Do not make any deductions yourself; this will be done for you. Always use a metal tape measure for accurate results.
Before starting, check that you have all components supplied with your vertical blind.
Position the brackets approximately 5cm from each end of the headrail. If more than two brackets are supplied, space the extra brackets evenly across the length. Ensure that the fixings are suitable for your wall or surface.
Hook the back of the headrail into the brackets and rotate it into place. Secure the headrail by tightening the short screw at the front of the bracket.
Measure and mark the positions carefully, allowing space for obstacles such as window handles. Fit the brackets about 10cm from each end of the headrail. If additional brackets are supplied, space them evenly. Ensure that all fixings are suitable for the surface you are using.
Tilt and hook the headrail into the brackets, then rotate it until it clicks into position. To remove the headrail, press the release point on the bracket.
