Roller Only Measure

Inside Recess:

If you want your blind fitted inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the recessed area from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measurement Guide:

Measure across the inside of the recess in three places: top, middle, and bottom. Then measure down in three places: left, right, and centre. Always use a steel tape measure for accuracy, recording measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.

Take the smallest width and height measurement when ordering. The factory will make the necessary deductions for recess blinds to ensure a perfect fit. Be careful of any obstacles, such as tiles, handles, or rails, to make sure your measurements are correct.

Outside Recess:

If you want your blind fitted outside the recess, we will make it to the exact measurements you give, with no deductions.

Outside Recess Measurement Guide:

Measure the width of the area you want the blind to cover. To block sunlight effectively, we recommend adding 6cm overlap on each side and 7cm at the top. It is your choice whether to include an overlap at the bottom. Again, take care when measuring around items such as tiles or rails to get accurate positioning.

Please choose between the following fitting types:

Top Mount: Fixed to an overhead surface, such as the top of the window recess or ceiling.

Face Mount: Fixed to the front or outside face of the window frame.

When positioning the brackets, ensure the blind can move freely without hitting window handles or the frame. Place both brackets loosely on the blind, hold them up to the window, and mark the correct positions. This will help you centre the blind more easily.

Position the control-side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark where it should go, ensuring it is straight and level. Drill holes and secure it in place, using rawl plugs if mounting onto a wall.

Insert one end of the blind into the fitted bracket. Place the other bracket on the opposite end, mark the spot, and ensure it lines up evenly with the first. Drill holes and secure that bracket into place, again using rawl plugs if needed.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin end of the blind into the pin-side bracket. The pin side has a spring mechanism, making mounting and removal easier. Then insert the control mechanism into the control-side bracket. The central lug should point downwards and slot securely into the bracket cross-section.

Operating the Blind

After installation, use the side chain to raise or lower the blind.

P-Clip

For safety, the P-clip must be fitted as far from the control mechanism as possible. This prevents the looped chain from becoming loose.

Make sure the chain runs through the P-clip and remains tight. The P-clip should sit at the bottom of the loop, allowing the chain to move smoothly. Fix the tensioning device to the wall, aligned with the blind, to keep the chain permanently tight and under constant tension.
