Roller Only Measurement
To fit the blind inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the recessed area from wall to wall.
Inside Recess Measurement
Measure the width across the inside of the window recess in three places: top, middle, and bottom.
Measure the height in three places: left, centre, and right.
Guide for Inside Recess Fitting
Use a steel tape measure to get exact measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
Take three measurements for both width and height, and use the smallest measurement when placing your order.
The factory will make any required deductions for recess blinds to ensure they fit perfectly.
Be careful when measuring around obstructions such as tiles, handles, or rails to ensure the position is correct.
Outside Recess Measurement
To fit the blind outside the window recess, the blind will be made to the exact measurements you provide with no deductions.
Guide for Outside Recess Fitting
Measure the full area you want the blind to cover. To block sunlight, we recommend an overlap of 6 cm on each side and 7 cm at the top.
Be careful when measuring around obstructions such as tiles or rails to ensure accurate positioning.
It is your choice whether to allow the blind to overlap at the bottom of the window.
Please choose your preferred fixing method:
Top mount / Face mount
Position the brackets so that the blind can operate freely without touching handles or window frames. Hold the brackets loosely in place with the blind to see where it should sit. This will make it easier to centre the blind.
Place the control side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark the position of the first bracket, ensuring it is level and not twisted, as this will affect the blindβs operation. Drill holes and secure the bracket with raw plugs if fixing to a wall.
Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Place the second bracket on the other side of the blind and mark its position, making sure it is level with the first bracket. Drill holes and fix it in place using raw plugs if necessary.
Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin bracket. The pin end has a spring mechanism to make fitting and removing easier. Insert the control mechanism into the control side bracket as shown. The central lug on the mechanism should point downwards and slot into the bracket, hooking securely into place.
Once the blind is installed, use the side chain to raise or lower it.
The safety device must be fitted as far away as possible from the control mechanism to keep the chain taut.
Ensure the control chain runs through the p-clip and remains tight. The p-clip should be at the bottom of the chain loop, allowing smooth movement. Screw the tension device firmly to the wall along the length of the blind, keeping the chain permanently tight and under safe tension.
