Tips for accurate measuring:
When measuring for blinds to fit outside the window recess, note down the exact size you want the blind to cover. To reduce light coming through the gaps, we suggest adding at least 70mm above the window and 50mm on each side. At the bottom, the length depends on your preference, but keep in mind any obstacles such as radiators.
If you want the blinds fitted inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the recess itself. Take three measurements across both the width and the drop, then record the smallest figures. Do not make any adjustments yourself—we will apply the right deductions for a perfect fit. Always use a metal tape measure for the most reliable results.
Items supplied with your blinds include:
Mark the position of the brackets, placing them about 5cm in from each end of where the headrail will sit. If more than two brackets are provided, space the extras evenly across the blind. Ensure that the wall or surface is strong enough for the fixings. Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, rotate it into place, and secure it by tightening the small screw on the front of the bracket.
First, measure and mark where the brackets will go, keeping in mind any obstructions such as window handles. The brackets should be fixed around 10cm from each end of the headrail. If more brackets are included, space them evenly across the blind. Check that your fixings are appropriate for the surface. Tilt and hook the headrail into the bracket, then rotate until it clicks into place. To remove the headrail later, simply push the release on the bracket.
