Measuring Your Blinds

ROLLER ONLY MEASURE

To fit the blind inside the window recess:

Measure the full width and height of the recess (wall to wall).

Inside Recess Measurement:

• Take three width measurements across the top, middle, and bottom of the window.
• Take three height measurements down the left, right, and centre of the window.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting:

• Use a steel tape measure to get exact measurements in centimetres, to the nearest millimetre.
• Measure in three places for both width and height, and use the smallest measurement when ordering.
• The factory will make any necessary deductions for “recess specified blinds” to ensure a perfect fit.
• Be cautious of obstacles such as tiles, handles, and rails to ensure the position is accurate.

To fit the blind outside the window recess:

We will make the blind to the exact measurements you provide, with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting:

• Measure the exact area you want the blind to cover. To reduce sunlight entering the room, we recommend an overlap of 6cm on each side and 7cm at the top.
• Be careful of obstacles such as tiles and rails when measuring.
• Bottom overlap is optional and depends on your preference.

Please choose your preferred mounting style:

Top Mount: Mounts to an overhead surface such as the top of the window recess or the ceiling.

Face Mount: Mounts to the face of the outside window frame.

Fitting Instructions:

• Position the brackets so the blind can move freely. Make sure the roller does not touch door handles or window parts.
• Loosely position both brackets on the blind and place it in the window to determine where the brackets should go. This will make it easier to centre the blind.
• Place the control side bracket on the same side as the chain control mechanism. Mark the first bracket in a level position. Drill holes and fix the bracket to the wall using raw plugs if necessary.
• Insert one side of the blind into the mounted bracket. Position and mark the second bracket so it is level with the first. Drill and fix this bracket in place.

Mounting the Blind

• Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin side bracket. The pin end has a spring mechanism to help with mounting and removing the blind.
• Insert the control mechanism into the control side bracket. Ensure the central lug points downwards and fits into the cross section of the bracket to hook into place.

Operating the Blind

• Use the chain on the side to raise and lower the blind.

P-Clip:

• The P-clip must be installed at the maximum distance from the control mechanism to prevent the looper chain from becoming slack.
• Make sure the control chain passes through the P-clip, keeping the chain tight.
• Position the P-clip at the bottom of the loop so the chains can move freely.
• Screw the tensioning device to the wall along the blind to keep the chain tight. The chain will remain permanently under constant tension.
