Tools You Will Need to Measure Vertical Blinds:
Tips for Accurate Measurements:
Outside Recess Measurement:
Measure the exact area where you want the blind to cover. To reduce light gaps, allow the blind to overlap the top of the recess by at least 70mm and the sides by 50mm. The bottom overlap is up to you, but be mindful of obstacles such as radiators. Always use a metal tape measure, as fabric tapes can stretch and give inaccurate readings.
Inside Recess Measurement:
If you want the blind to fit inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the opening. We will make the correct deductions to ensure a perfect fit. Measure both width and drop in three places and use the smallest figures. Do not make any deductions yourself. Always use a metal tape measure for accuracy.

Extra Tools You May Need:
Face Fix Installation:
Position the brackets approximately 5cm from each end of the headrail. If more than two brackets are supplied, space the extra ones evenly along the length of the blind. Ensure the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface. Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket and rotate it into position. Secure the headrail by tightening the small screw at the front of the bracket.
Top Fix Installation:
Measure and mark the position of the brackets, considering obstacles like window handles. Place the brackets around 10cm from each end of the headrail so the blind clears the handles. Fit any additional brackets evenly along the length of the blind. Make sure fixings are suitable for your wall or surface. Hook the headrail into the brackets and rotate it until it clicks into place. To remove the headrail, press the bracket at the designated point.
