When choosing the “slat only” option, the size will reflect the length of the vertical blind fabric laid flat. The width of each slat is normally 89mm, which is the most widely used size and the one offered for most fabrics.

When placing your order, make sure the fabric selected is the correct width. Always measure to the nearest centimetre and then deduct 1cm from both the height and width. Do not make any other deductions.

If slats are not available, please follow the instructions below:

  • Measure the required size at your window.
  • Take the measurement from the track opening down to the point where you want the slat to finish.
  • Slats should stop around 13mm above any obstacles such as a sill or radiator.

Counting and Ordering Slats

  • Count the number of slats already in place or the number of carriers on the headrail.
  • When ordering, enter the total number of slats needed.

Face Fix

Position the brackets about 5cm in from each end of where the headrail will sit. If more than two brackets are provided, fit the extras evenly along the length of the blind. Make sure the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface you are attaching them to.

Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, rotate it into position, and then secure it by tightening the small screw at the front of the bracket.

Top Fix

First, measure and mark the spots carefully, allowing for anything that sticks out into the recess, such as handles. Place the brackets around 10cm from each end of the headrail to ensure clearance from window handles. If more than two brackets are supplied, space the rest out evenly across the blind’s length. Always make sure the fixings used are appropriate for the mounting surface.

Tilt and hook the headrail into the bracket, then rotate it until it clicks into place. To remove the headrail, press the release point on the bracket.
