Tools You Will Need for Measuring Vertical Blinds:
Tips for Accurate Measurements:
Outside Recess Measurement:
Measure the area where you want the blind to cover. To reduce light gaps, allow the blind to overlap the top of the recess by at least 70mm and the sides by 50mm. The bottom overlap is optional, but remember to consider obstacles like radiators. Always use a metal tape measure, as fabric tapes can stretch and give inaccurate readings.
Inside Recess Measurement:
For a blind to fit inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the opening. We will make the necessary deductions to ensure a perfect fit. Measure both width and drop in three places and use the smallest figures. Do not make any deductions yourself. Always use a metal tape measure for accuracy.

Extra Tools You May Need:
Face Fix Installation:
Place the brackets around 5cm from each end of the headrail. If more than two brackets are supplied, space the extra brackets evenly along the blind. Make sure fixings are suitable for the wall or surface. Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket and rotate it into position. Secure the headrail by tightening the small screw at the front of the bracket.
Top Fix Installation:
Measure and mark the position of the brackets, keeping in mind obstacles such as window handles. Position the brackets around 10cm from each end of the headrail to avoid interference with handles. If more than two brackets are supplied, space the extra brackets evenly. Ensure the fixings are suitable for your wall or surface. Hook the headrail into the brackets and rotate it until it clicks into place. To remove the headrail, press the bracket at the specified point.
