A fabric-only measurement means checking the length of the vertical blind fabric when laid flat. The usual width of each slat is 89mm, which is the most common size, and most fabrics are supplied in this measurement.

When placing your order, always check that the fabric you have selected matches the correct width. Take measurements to the nearest centimetre, then subtract 1cm from both height and width. Do not make any extra deductions yourself.

No Slat Available – Instructions Below:

  • Measure the window size you need.
  • Measure from the headrail track opening down to the point where you want the slat to finish.
  • The slat should end about 13mm above any obstruction such as a window sill or radiator.

Counting and Ordering Slats:

  • Count the number of slats you already have or the number of carriers (trucks) on your headrail.
  • Enter the total quantity required when ordering.

When fitting your vertical blind, please check that you have the following items included:

You Will Also Need:

  • 2 top fix brackets
  • 2 face fix brackets
  • 1 set of hangers
  • 1 Allen key
  • 2 stabilising chains
  • 1 safety hook
  • 4 wood screws
  • 1 bottom weight
  • A pencil
  • Additional screws if required
  • A drill with the correct drill bits
  • A crosshead screwdriver
  • A metal tape measure

Face Fix

  • Position the brackets about 5cm in from each end of where the headrail will be fitted.
  • If more than 2 brackets are provided, space the extra brackets evenly along the length of the rail.
  • Make sure the fixings are appropriate for the wall or surface you are fixing into.
  • To fit, hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, rotate it into place, and secure it by tightening the small screw at the front of the bracket.

Top Fix

  • Measure and mark carefully to allow for obstacles like window handles that project into the recess.
  • Place the brackets about 10cm from each end of the headrail so the rail clears the window handle.
  • If more than 2 brackets are supplied, install the extras at equal spacing along the blind.
  • Ensure the fixings are correct for the type of surface.
  • To fit, tilt the headrail into the bracket and rotate until it clicks into place.
  • To remove, press the release point on the bracket and take the rail out.
