Tips for Accurate Measurement

Keep height and width measurements separate, as swapping them can lead to a blind that does not fit correctly.

For multiple windows, do not assume they are all the same size. Measure each individually, as even small differences can affect the final fit.

Measuring for Outside Recess

Measure the exact area you want the blind to cover.

To reduce light gaps, allow the blind to overlap the window recess by at least 70mm at the top and 50mm on each side.

Bottom overlap is optional, but consider obstacles such as radiators.

Always use a metal tape measure; cloth tapes may stretch or bend, giving inaccurate results.

Measuring for Inside Recess

Measure the full width and height of the window recess if you want the blind to sit inside it.

Take measurements in three places for both width and drop, and use the smallest figure.

Do not make deductions yourself; these will be applied automatically to guarantee a perfect fit.

Use a metal tape measure for precise measurements.

Ensure that all parts supplied with your vertical blind are available before starting the installation.

Face Fix

Position the brackets about 5cm from each end where the headrail will sit. If more than two brackets are supplied, space additional brackets evenly along the blind’s length.

Make sure the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface.

Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket and rotate it into position. Secure by tightening the short screw on the front of the bracket.

Top Fix

Measure and mark positions to avoid obstacles such as window handles.

Place brackets roughly 10cm from the ends of the headrail to ensure clearance for handles. If more than two brackets are supplied, space extra brackets evenly along the length.

Make sure fixings are suitable for the wall or surface.

Hook the headrail into the bracket, rotate it until it clicks into place. To release, press the bracket at the release point.
