Our blackout vertical blinds are suitable for both small and large windows. They are always available to order and are an affordable option for every budget. A wide colour chart is provided with a variety of premium shades, so you can choose between light filtering and blackout fabrics depending on your needs. These blinds offer exceptional value and are ideal for homes of all sizes.

Delivery & Packaging

Each order is supplied in two separate parts – one containing the slats and the other containing the headrail and brackets. Orders are sent through our own courier service, and in some cases items may arrive separately on different days.

Your blind will be supplied with top fix brackets as standard. However, if you prefer, you may request face fix brackets which are ideal for fitting within a window frame or on the wall outside the recess.

  1. Measure your inside recess to the nearest millimetre (follow our measuring guide).
  2. When placing your order, add your exact sizes in the ‘Special Comments’ section at checkout.
  3. We will automatically deduct 1cm (industry standard) from the height and width for a perfect fit.
  4. Once the order is placed, production will start immediately.
  5. A fitting video will also be emailed to you to help make installation straightforward.

Tools You Will Need for Measuring

  • A strong steel tape measure.
  • A pencil for marking.
  • A worksheet or notepad to record sizes.
  • A ladder if the window is tall.
  • Always write down width and height correctly – never switch them. Incorrect notes will result in blinds that do not fit.
  • If measuring more than one window, do not assume they are all the same size. Measure each one individually as even small differences matter.
  • For outside recess fitting:
    • Measure the area you want the blind to overlap.
    • To reduce light gaps, allow at least 70mm overlap at the top and 50mm at each side.
    • The bottom overlap is personal choice, but consider radiators or furniture.
    • Always use a metal tape measure (cloth ones can stretch and give inaccurate sizes).
  • For inside recess fitting:
    • Measure the full width and height of the recess (the inner opening).
    • Take three measurements for both width and drop, and use the smallest size.
    • Do not make any deductions yourself – we will do this to ensure a perfect fit.
    • Again, always use a steel tape measure.

Installation & Fitting

Please ensure you have all the parts that come with your blind:

  • 2 x top fix brackets.
  • 2 x face fix brackets.
  • 1 x set of hangers.
  • 1 x Allen key.
  • 2 x stabilising chains.
  • 1 x safety hook.
  • 4 x wood screws.
  • 1 x weight.
  • Screws.
  • A pencil.
  • Drill with correct bits.
  • Crosshead screwdriver.
  • Steel tape measure.

Face Fixing

  • Position the brackets around 5cm from each end of the headrail.
  • If more than two brackets are provided, space them evenly across the blind.
  • Ensure the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface.
  • Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, rotate it into place, then secure it by tightening the small screw at the front.

Top Fixing

  • Mark the space required, allowing for any window handles or obstructions.
  • Place the brackets about 10cm from each end of the headrail. This ensures the blind clears the window handle.
  • If extra brackets are supplied, space them evenly along the rail.
  • Make sure your wall fixings are suitable for the surface.
  • Tilt the headrail into the bracket until it clicks into position.
  • To release, press the bracket at the release point.
