Roller Blinds Measurement

Inside Window Recess: Measure the full width and height of the recess, from wall to wall.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting:

  • Take three width measurements: top, middle, and bottom.
  • Take three height measurements: left, centre, and right.
  • Use a steel tape measure for precise measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
  • Use the smallest measurement when ordering.
  • The factory will make any necessary deductions for recess-specified blinds to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Take care around obstacles such as tiles, handles, and rails to ensure accuracy.

Outside Window Recess: The blind will be made exactly to your measurements, with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting:

  • Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To reduce sunlight, we recommend an overlap of 6 cm on each side and 7 cm at the top.
  • Be careful around obstacles like tiles and rails when measuring.
  • Overlap at the bottom is optional.

Please choose one mounting option:

Top Mount – Fixed to the top of the window recess or ceiling.

Face Mount – Fixed to the face of the window frame.

  • Position the brackets so the blind can operate freely without touching door handles or the window frame.
  • Loosely position both brackets on the blind and hold it in place to help centre it accurately.

Installing Brackets:

  • Place the control-side bracket on the same side as the control mechanism. Ensure it is level and not twisted. Drill holes and fix the bracket using raw plugs if attaching to a wall.
  • Insert one side of the blind into the mounted bracket.
  • Position and mark the second bracket so it is level with the first. Drill and secure it in place.

Mounting the Blind:

  • Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin-side bracket. The pin end has a spring to make installation and removal easier.
  • Insert the control mechanism into the control-side bracket, ensuring the central lug points downward and hooks into place.

Operating the Blind

  • Use the chain on the side to raise or lower the blind.

P-Clip Installation:

  • Install the p-clip as far from the control mechanism as possible to prevent slack in the chain loop.
  • Ensure the control chain is inside the p-clip and kept tight.
  • Fix the tensioning device to the wall along the length of the blind to keep the chain under constant tension. This keeps the chain permanently tight and operating correctly.
