Tools Needed to Measure Vertical Blinds:
Tips for Accurate Measurements:
Outside Recess Measurement:
Measure the area where you want the blind to cover. To reduce light gaps, we recommend overlapping the top of the recess by at least 70mm and the sides by 50mm. The bottom overlap is up to you but remember to consider obstacles like radiators. Use a metal tape measure, as fabric tapes can stretch and give incorrect results.
Inside Recess Measurement:
If you want the blind to fit inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the opening. We will make the necessary deductions to ensure a perfect fit. Measure both width and drop in three places and use the smallest measurements. Do not make any deductions yourself. Always use a metal tape measure for accuracy.

Additional Tools You May Need:
Face Fix Installation:
Place the brackets around 5cm from each end of the headrail. If more than two brackets are supplied, space the extra brackets evenly along the blind. Make sure the fixings are suitable for your wall or surface. Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket and rotate it into place. Secure the headrail by tightening the small screw at the front of the bracket.
Top Fix Installation:
Measure and mark the position of the brackets, considering obstacles like window handles. Place the brackets about 10cm from each end of the headrail to avoid interference with the handles. Fit any additional brackets evenly along the length of the blind. Make sure the fixings suit the wall or surface. Hook the headrail into the brackets and rotate it until it clicks into place. To remove the headrail, press the bracket at the designated point.
