When you request a slat-only measure, it refers to the length of the vertical blind fabric laid flat on a surface. The usual width for a slat is 89mm, which is the most common size available and offered for most fabrics.
When placing your order, confirm that the chosen fabric has the correct width. Measure to the nearest centimetre, then reduce both the height and width by 1cm. Do not make any additional deductions.
Please make sure you have the following parts included with your vertical blind:
Additional equipment you will need during installation:
Place the brackets roughly 5cm from each end of where the headrail will sit. If more than two brackets are provided, fit the extras evenly across the length of the blind. Make sure the fittings are suitable for the type of wall or surface.
To install, hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, rotate the headrail into place, and tighten the short screw at the front of the bracket to secure it.
Measure and mark the correct positions, making allowances for handles or other fittings that may project into the recess. Brackets should usually be placed around 10cm from each end of where the headrail will be fitted to clear the window handle. If additional brackets are included, space them evenly across the length of the blind. Always ensure the fittings are suitable for the surface.
To fit, tilt the headrail into the bracket and rotate it into position until it clicks. To remove the headrail, press the release point on the bracket.
