Day and Night Blinds – Inside Recess Only

If you are fitting the blind inside a window recess, you will need to measure the full width and height of the recessed area, from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measurement

• Take three measurements across the inside of the window recess: top, middle, and bottom.
• Take three measurements for the height: left, centre, and right.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting

• Use a steel tape measure to take precise measurements in centimetres, rounded to the nearest millimetre.
• Measure in three places for both width and height, and always use the smallest measurement when ordering.
• The factory will make any necessary deductions for “recess specified blinds” to ensure the blind fits perfectly.
• Be careful when measuring, as obstacles such as tiles, handles, or rails can affect accuracy.

To Fit the Blind Outside the Window Recess

If you are fitting the blind outside the window recess, it will be made exactly to the measurements you provide, with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting

• Measure the full area you want the blind to cover. To block sunlight effectively, we recommend an overlap of 6 cm on each side and 7 cm at the top of the window.
• Take care when measuring to avoid obstacles such as tiles or rails, ensuring the blind is positioned correctly.
• You may also choose to have an overlap at the bottom of the window if you wish.

Once you have taken the correct measurements, the blind can be installed. Make sure all fixtures are securely fitted and the blind operates smoothly with the remote control.
