PLAZA STONE – PVC WATERPROOF BLACKOUT VERTICAL BLINDS

Vertical blackout blinds provide you with the privacy you need in your home. They come in different designs and styles, made with premium blackout fabrics that are strong, durable, and versatile, which means they are built to last. Each blind is carefully designed to look smart and perform well.

Our vertical blackout blinds are suitable for both large and small windows. They are available to order anytime and offer an affordable choice for households. You can select from a wide range of high-quality colours on our colour chart. Depending on your preference, you can choose either light-filtering fabrics or full blackout fabrics. These blinds offer excellent value for homes of every size.

Our vertical blinds are made according to your exact measurements for both width and drop. They are designed for long-lasting use and are a great choice for houses as well as commercial spaces. They work well on large windows, doors, conservatories, and many other openings. They are simple to operate, come with a child safety clip, and are supplied with top brackets as standard for easy installation. The fitting process is straightforward, although detailed instructions are not included. Each blind is supplied as a complete set with both the rail and the slats. The slats measure 89mm and are made from 100% polyester.

The blinds will arrive in two separate parts – one containing the slats and the other containing the rail and brackets. Delivery is carried out by our own courier service, and in some cases, the items may arrive separately at different times.

Bracket Options

Your blind is provided with top fix brackets as standard. If required, you can request face fix brackets, which are ideal for fitting inside window frames or outside the recess.

Tools you will need:

  • A steel tape measure
  • A pencil to note your measurements
  • A worksheet to record each size
  • A ladder if you are measuring tall windows

Helpful tips for measuring:

  • Always keep height and width measurements separate, as mixing them up may result in blinds that do not fit.
  • When measuring more than one window, do not assume they are the same size. Measure each window individually, as even small differences can affect how well the blinds fit.

Measuring Outside Recess

Measure the full size of the area you want the blind to cover. To reduce light leakage, it is recommended that the blind extends at least 70mm above the top of the recess and 50mm on each side. The bottom overlap is your personal choice, but be sure to allow for any obstructions such as radiators. Always use a metal tape measure, as cloth tape measures may stretch and give inaccurate results.

Measuring Inside Recess

If you want the blind to sit inside the recess, measure the exact width and height of the space. These are the only measurements we need, and we will make the necessary deductions to ensure the blind fits properly. Take three measurements for both the width and the drop, and use the smallest figures. Do not make any adjustments yourself, as we will do that for you. Again, always use a steel tape measure to ensure accuracy.

Please make sure you have the following parts supplied with your blind:

Face Fix

When fitting face fix brackets, position them around 5cm from the ends where the headrail will sit. If more than two brackets are included, place the extras evenly along the rail. Make sure the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface you are working with. To fit the headrail, hook the back into the bracket, rotate into place, and secure it by tightening the small screw at the front.

Top Fix

When using top fix brackets, measure and mark carefully, making sure to allow for obstacles such as handles that may stick out into the recess. Place the brackets around 10cm from the ends of the headrail. If more than two are provided, space them evenly. Always check that your fixings are suitable for the surface. To fit, tilt and hook the headrail into the bracket, rotate it until it clicks, and it will lock into place. To remove, press the release point on the bracket.
