When ordering slats only, the measurement refers to the fabric length laid flat. The width of the slat is generally 89mm, which is the most common size and the one offered for most fabrics.

When placing your order, always make sure the fabric selected is the correct width. Measure to the nearest centimetre, then reduce both the height and width by 1cm. Do not make any other deductions yourself.

If Slats Are Not Available – Follow These Instructions:

  1. Measure the size required at your window.
  2. Take the measurement from the headrail opening down to the point where you would like the slat to end.
  3. Make sure the slat finishes about 13mm above any obstruction such as a sill or radiator.

Counting and Ordering Slats

  • Count either the number of existing slats or the number of carriers on your headrail.
  • Enter the total amount needed when you place your order.

Check that you have the following parts included with your vertical blind:

Extra tools and equipment needed for fitting:

  • 2 top fix brackets
  • 2 face fix brackets
  • 1 set of hangers
  • 1 Allen key
  • 2 stabilising chains
  • 1 safety hook
  • 4 wood screws
  • 1 weight
  • A pencil
  • Additional screws
  • Drill with correct drill bits
  • Cross-head screwdriver
  • Metal tape measure

Face Fix Installation

Position the brackets about 5cm in from each end of the headrail location. If more than two brackets are included, space the extra ones evenly along the full length of the blind. Always make sure the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface where they will be attached.

To install, hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, then rotate it into place. Secure it by tightening the small screw located at the front of the bracket.

Top Fix Installation

Measure and mark the position, allowing space for handles or other parts that may stick into the recess. Place the brackets about 10cm from each end of the headrail so that the blind clears the window handle. If more than two brackets are supplied, position the extras evenly across the headrail. Make sure all fixings are suitable for the surface.

To fit, tilt the headrail and hook it into the bracket at the marked point. Rotate until it clicks securely into place. To remove, push the bracket at the same point.
