Day and Night Blinds – Inside Recess

To fit a blind inside a window recess, you will need to measure the full width and height of the recess from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measuring Guide

• Take three width measurements across the recess: top, middle, and bottom of the window.
• Take three height measurements: left, centre, and right.
• Use a steel tape measure to ensure accurate measurements in centimetres, to the nearest millimetre.
• Measure in three specific places for both width and height, and use the smallest measurement when ordering.
• The factory will make any necessary deductions for recess-specified blinds to ensure they fit perfectly.
• Be careful of any obstacles such as tiles, handles, or rails to make sure the position is accurate.

Outside Recess Measuring

If the blind is to be fitted outside the window recess, it will be made to the exact measurements you provide with no deductions.

• Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To reduce sunlight effectively, we recommend an overlap of 6 cm on either side and 7 cm above the window.
• Take the exact width of the area.
• Be cautious of any obstacles such as tiles or rails to ensure the blind is positioned correctly.
• You can decide whether to allow an overlap at the bottom of the window.
