Understated Luxury with the Dalyan Trufflet Roman Blind

Bring a touch of refined elegance to your home with the Dalyan Truffle Roman Blind, available across the UK from Online Blind Express. This finely woven blind features a warm truffle-coloured fabric, blending soft brown and taupe shades that suit both traditional and modern interiors.

Ideal for creating a calm and welcoming space, the Dalyan Truffle fabric gently filters natural light, producing a soft glow while still maintaining privacy. Its fully lined backing helps with insulation, keeping your home cosy during winter and cool in the summer months.

The blind’s smooth Roman fold gives a tidy and tailored appearance when raised, while a strong headrail system ensures easy, daily use. Designed for both practicality and style, each blind is made to measure to fit your window perfectly and includes all the fittings and clear instructions needed for simple installation.

Tools You Need to Measure Roman Blinds:

  • Metal measuring tape
  • Pencil for marking and recording measurements
  • Worksheet to note down results
  • Ladder for high windows, if needed

Tips for Accurate Measurement:

  • Keep height and width measurements separate; swapping them can cause the blind not to fit.
  • If you are measuring several windows, do not assume they are the same size. Measure each one individually, as small differences can affect the fit.

Outside Recess Measurement:

  • Measure the exact area you want the blind to cover. To reduce light gaps, it is recommended that the blind overlaps the window recess by at least 70mm at the top and 50mm on each side.
  • The bottom overlap is up to you, but consider obstacles such as radiators.
  • Always use a metal tape measure, as cloth tapes can stretch or bend and give inaccurate results.

Inside Recess Measurement:

  • This measurement is needed if you want the blind to fit inside the window recess. Measure the full width and height of the recess, and deductions will be made to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Measure in three places for both width and drop, and use the smallest measurement.
  • Do not make deductions yourself; the blind will be adjusted for a precise fit.
  • Use a metal tape for accuracy, since cloth tapes can stretch and give wrong measurements.

Face Fix Installation:

  • Position the brackets about 5cm from each end where the headrail will sit. If extra brackets are included, space them evenly along the length of the blind. Make sure the fixings are suitable for the wall or surface.
  • Hook the back of the headrail into the brackets, rotate it into place, and secure by tightening the short screw at the front of the bracket.

Top Fix Installation:

  • Measure and mark positions to allow for obstacles such as window handles. Place the brackets roughly 10cm from each end to clear handles. If more than two brackets are included, space the additional ones evenly along the blind’s length. Ensure the fixings suit your wall or surface.
  • Tilt and hook the headrail into the brackets, rotate it until it clicks into position. To remove the headrail, press the bracket at the designated point.
