When measuring for slats only, the measurement refers to the fabric laid flat. The standard width of a slat is usually 89mm, which is the most popular size and the one offered with most of our fabric options.
When ordering, check carefully that the chosen fabric is the correct width. Always measure to the nearest centimetre and then reduce the height and width by 1cm. Please avoid making any extra deductions.
If You Do Not Have a Slat Available
Counting and Working Out the Number of Slats Required
Before you begin fitting your blind, make sure you have the following equipment provided with your order:
Extra Equipment Required for the Process
Face Fix Installation
Position the brackets around 5cm from each end of the headrail. If more than two brackets are supplied, space the additional ones evenly across the full width of the blind. Always check that your fixings are suitable for the type of wall or surface you are attaching them to. Hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, rotate it into place, and then secure it by tightening the small screw at the front of the bracket.
Top Fix Installation
Mark the section carefully to allow space for any obstacles, such as handles, that extend into the recess. The brackets should be fixed approximately 10cm from each end of the headrail to provide clearance for window handles. If more than two brackets are supplied, position the extras evenly along the length of the blind. Ensure the fixings are suitable for the surface where you are mounting them.
Tilt and hook the headrail into the bracket, rotate it until it clicks firmly into position, and to remove it, press the release point on the bracket.
