When ordering slats only, the measurement will cover the length of the fabric as it lies flat. The slat width is normally 89mm, which is the most popular size and the one used for most fabric options.

When placing your order, make sure the fabric you choose is the correct width. Measure to the nearest centimetre, then reduce the height and width by 1cm. Do not make any additional deductions.

If Slats Are Not Available – Follow These Steps:

  1. Measure the size you need at your window.
  2. Take the measurement from the top of the track down to the point where you want the slat to end.
  3. Ensure the slat finishes about 13mm above any obstruction such as a window sill or radiator.

Counting and Ordering Slats

  • Count either the number of slats you currently have or the number of carriers on your headrail.
  • Enter the full quantity required when placing your order.

Please check that the following items are included with your vertical blind:

Extra tools and equipment you will need for fitting:

  • 2 top fix brackets
  • 2 face fix brackets
  • 1 set of hangers
  • 1 Allen key
  • 2 stabilising chains
  • 1 safety hook
  • 4 wood screws
  • 1 weight
  • A pencil
  • Extra screws
  • Drill with suitable drill bits
  • Cross-head screwdriver
  • Metal tape measure

Face Fix Installation

Place the brackets about 5cm in from each end of the headrail position. If more than two brackets are supplied, fit the extra ones evenly across the length of the blind. Always make sure that the fixings are suitable for the type of wall or surface.

To fit, hook the back of the headrail into the bracket, then rotate it into place. Secure the headrail by tightening the small screw at the front of the bracket.

Top Fix Installation

Measure and mark the position carefully, allowing for handles or other objects that may stick into the recess. Position the brackets around 10cm from each end of the headrail so the blind clears the window handle. If more than two brackets are included, fit the extras evenly along the headrail. Ensure your fixings are suitable for the chosen surface.

To install, tilt the headrail and hook it into the bracket at the marked point. Rotate until it clicks into place. To remove the headrail, simply push the bracket at the same point.
