Fitting Inside the Window Recess:

Measure the full width and height of the recessed area, from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measuring Guide:

  • Take three measurements across the width of the window recess: top, middle, and bottom.
  • Take three measurements for the height: left, right, and centre.
  • Use a steel tape measure for accuracy, recording measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
  • Record three measurements for width and height, and use the smallest measurement when placing your order.
  • The factory will make any necessary deductions for recess blinds to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Be careful around obstacles such as tiles, handles, or rails to ensure accurate measurements.

Fitting Outside the Window Recess:

If you choose to fit your blind outside the recess, it will be made to the exact measurements you provide, with no deductions.

Outside Recess Measuring Guide:

  • Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To prevent sunlight from entering, we recommend an overlap of 6cm on either side and 7cm at the top.
  • Measure the full width of the area carefully.
  • Be aware of obstacles such as tiles or rails to ensure accurate placement.
  • You may also choose to add overlap at the bottom of the window if desired.

Please select one of the following mounting options:

Top Mount: Fitting the blind to an overhead surface, such as the ceiling or the top of the window recess.

Face Mount: Fitting the blind to the front of the window frame.

When fitting, position the brackets so that the blind can operate freely. Ensure the blind will not touch door handles or other parts of the window. Place both brackets loosely on the blind and position it in the window to check alignment. This will help with centring the blind.

Place the control side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark the first bracket’s position, making sure it is level and straight. Drill holes and secure the bracket with screws, using raw plugs if attaching to a wall.

Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Place the other bracket on the opposite end of the blind, mark its position, and ensure it is level with the first bracket. Drill holes and fix the second bracket in place, using raw plugs if needed.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin end of the blind into the pin side bracket. The pin end is spring-loaded, which makes mounting and removal easier. Insert the control mechanism into the control side bracket. The central lug on the control side should point downwards and fit securely into the bracket.

Operating the Blind

Once installed, use the side chain to raise or lower the blind.

P-Clip Safety Device:

  • Install the P-clip as far away from the control mechanism as possible to prevent slack in the looped chain.
  • Ensure the control chain runs inside the P-clip. Keep the chain tight, with the clip at the bottom of the loop, so it moves smoothly.
  • Screw the tensioning device to the wall along the blind to maintain constant tension, keeping the chain permanently tight.
