Roller Blinds Only

To fit the blind inside a window recess, measure the full width and height of the recess from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measurements

  • Take three measurements across the width of the window recess: top, middle, and bottom.
  • Take three measurements down the height: left, right, and centre.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting

  • Use a steel tape measure and record measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
  • Measure both width and height in three places and always use the smallest measurement when ordering.
  • The factory will make any deductions required for recess-specified blinds to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Be careful when measuring to avoid obstructions such as tiles, handles, or rails, ensuring accurate positioning.

Outside Recess Fitting

If fitting the blind outside the window recess, it will be made to the exact measurements you specify, with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting

  • Decide the area you want the blind to cover. To block sunlight, we recommend an overlap of 6cm on each side and 7cm above the window.
  • Measure the exact width carefully.
  • Take care around obstructions such as tiles or rails.
  • You may choose to allow overlap at the bottom if desired.

Please select the mounting style you prefer:

Top Mount: Attach to an overhead surface, such as the top of the window recess or ceiling.

Face Mount: Attach to the outer face of the window frame.

  • Position the brackets so the blind can operate freely without hitting handles or the window.
  • Loosely position both brackets on the blind and place it in the window to check alignment. This helps centre the blind accurately.

Installing the Brackets and Blind

  1. Place the control-side bracket on the same side as the chain control mechanism. Mark its position carefully, making sure it is level and not twisted.
  2. Drill holes and fix the bracket securely using wall plugs if attaching to a wall.
  3. Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket.
  4. Position the second bracket at the opposite end, mark it level with the first, drill, and secure it.

Mounting the Blind

  • Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin bracket. The pin end has a spring mechanism to make mounting and removal easier.
  • Place the control mechanism into the control-side bracket. Ensure the central lug points downward and hooks securely into the bracket.

Operating the Blind

  • Once fitted, use the chain on the side to raise and lower the blind smoothly.

P-Clip Safety Device

  • Install the device as far as possible from the control mechanism to prevent the chain from becoming slack.
  • Ensure the control chain passes through the p-clip, keeping it tight and secure.
  • Position the p-clip at the bottom of the chain loop so it moves properly.
  • Screw the tensioning device to the wall at the end of the blind, keeping the chain permanently tight and under constant tension.
