Inside Recess Fitting
To fit the blind inside a window recess, measure the full width and height of the recess from wall to wall.
Inside Recess Measurement Instructions
Take three width measurements across the top, middle, and bottom of the recess. Take three height measurements at the left, right, and centre.
Guide for Inside Recess Fitting
Use a steel tape measure and record measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre. Measure in three locations for both width and height, then use the smallest measurement for your order. The factory will make any deductions needed for βrecess specified blindsβ to ensure a perfect fit. Take care around obstructions such as tiles, handles, or rails to get accurate measurements.
Outside Recess Fitting
For blinds mounted outside the recess, they will be made exactly to your measurements with no deductions.
Guide for Outside Recess Fitting
Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To prevent sunlight from entering, allow around 6cm overlap on each side and 7cm at the top. Bottom overlap is optional. Be careful when measuring around obstructions such as tiles or rails to ensure correct placement.
Choose either:
Top Mount β fixed to the top surface of the recess or ceiling.
Face Mount β fixed to the outside face of the window frame.
Position the brackets so the blind can move freely without hitting door handles or the window. Loosely place the brackets on the blind and hold it in position to check alignment before fixing.
Fix the control side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Ensure it is level and not twisted, then drill holes and secure it using raw plugs if mounting on a wall.
Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Position the second bracket at the other end, ensuring it is level with the first, mark it, then drill and fix with raw plugs.
Mounting the Blind
Insert the pin end into the pin bracket. The spring-loaded pin allows easy mounting and removal. Insert the chain mechanism into the control bracket, making sure the central lug points downward and hooks securely into the bracket.
Operating the Blind
Use the side chain to raise and lower the blind smoothly.
P-Clip Installation
Fit the P-clip as far as possible from the chain mechanism to prevent slack. Thread the chain through the clip so it remains tight, with the clip at the bottom of the loop. Secure the tension device to the wall from end to end to keep the chain tight and maintain smooth operation.
