Roller Only Measurement

Inside Recess Fitting

If you want the blind to fit inside the window recess, measure the full width and height of the recess from wall to wall.

  • Take three measurements across the width at the top, middle, and bottom of the window.
  • Take three measurements for the drop at the left, centre, and right.
  • Use a steel tape measure for precise readings in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
  • Always use the smallest measurement for ordering. The factory will make any necessary deductions to ensure a perfect fit.
  • Be careful around obstacles like tiles, window handles, or rails to ensure your measurements are accurate.

Outside Recess Fitting

For blinds that are mounted outside the window recess, they will be made exactly to your measurements with no deductions.

  • Measure the area you want the blind to cover.
  • To reduce sunlight, we recommend an overlap of 6 cm on each side and 7 cm at the top.
  • Overlap at the bottom is optional.
  • Be cautious of obstacles such as tiles, rails, or other fittings when measuring.

You can choose from:

Top Mount – The blind is mounted to an overhead surface, such as the top of the window recess or ceiling.

Face Mount – The blind is mounted to the wall outside the window frame.

  • Position the brackets so the blind can operate freely without touching window handles or doors.
  • Loosely place both brackets on the blind and hold it in position to check the placement. This will help you centre the blind.
  • Place the control-side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark its position, making sure it is level and not twisted. Drill holes and secure the bracket using raw plugs if fitting to a wall.
  • Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Position the second bracket at the other end, mark it level with the first, and fix it securely.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin-side bracket. The pin has a spring mechanism to make mounting and removing the blind easier. Insert the control mechanism into the control-side bracket, ensuring the central lug points downward and hooks into place correctly.

Operating the Blind

Once the blind is mounted, use the side chain to raise or lower it.

P-Clip Safety Device

The P-clip should be installed as far as possible from the control mechanism to prevent the chain from becoming slack.

  • Ensure the chain runs through the P-clip and remains tight.
  • Position the P-clip at the bottom of the loop.
  • Fix the tensioning device to the wall along the length of the blind, keeping the chain tight and under constant tension.
