Fitting Inside the Window Recess:

Measure the full width and height of the recess from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measuring Guide:

  • Measure the width at three points: top, middle, and bottom.
  • Measure the height at three points: left, centre, and right.
  • Use a steel tape measure for accurate readings in centimetres to the nearest millimetre.
  • Record the smallest measurements for width and height when placing your order.
  • The factory will make any necessary deductions to ensure the blinds fit perfectly.
  • Be careful of obstacles like tiles, handles, or rails to make sure your measurements are correct.

Fitting Outside the Window Recess:

For blinds fitted outside the recess, they will be made to your exact measurements with no deductions.

Outside Recess Measuring Guide:

  • Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To reduce sunlight, we recommend an overlap of 6cm on each side and 7cm at the top.
  • Measure the exact width of the area.
  • Watch for obstacles such as tiles or rails to ensure correct positioning.
  • Overlapping the bottom is optional, depending on your preference.

Please select one of the following:

Top Mount: Fitting to the ceiling or top of the window recess.

Face Mount: Fitting to the front of the window frame.

Position the brackets so that the blind can move freely without touching door handles or other fittings. Place the brackets loosely on the blind and position it in the window to check alignment. This helps with centring the blind correctly.

Place the control side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark the first bracket’s position, ensuring it is level and straight. Drill holes and fix the bracket in place using raw plugs if fitting to a wall.

Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Then, position the other bracket at the opposite end, mark its place, and ensure it is level with the first. Drill holes and fix the second bracket in place with raw plugs if required.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin end of the blind into the pin bracket. The pin end has a spring to make mounting and removal easier. Insert the control mechanism into the control bracket. Ensure the central lug on the control side points down and locks into the bracket securely.

Operating the Blind

Once installed, use the side chain to raise or lower the blind.

P-Clip Safety Device:

  • Fit the P-clip as far from the control mechanism as possible to prevent the chain from becoming loose.
  • Make sure the chain runs through the P-clip, keeping it tight, with the clip at the bottom of the loop for smooth operation.
  • Secure the tensioning device along the wall to the blind, ensuring the chain remains tight. This keeps the chain permanently under constant tension.
