Roller Only Measurement (Inside the Window Recess)

To fit the blind inside the recess, measure the full width and height of the opening from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measurement

Take three width measurements – top, middle, and bottom of the recess. Then take three height measurements – left, right, and centre.

For inside recess blinds, always use a steel tape measure to get exact sizes in centimetres, measured to the nearest millimetre. Use the smallest measurement when placing the order. The factory will make the required deductions to ensure a precise fit.

Take care to measure around any possible obstructions such as handles, tiles, or rails to guarantee the blind is positioned correctly.

Outside Recess Measurement

When fitting the blind outside the recess, it will be made exactly to the measurements you provide, with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting

Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To block sunlight effectively, allow an overlap of 6 cm on each side and 7 cm above the window. The overlap at the bottom is optional.

Always check for obstructions like tiles or rails to ensure the blind can be mounted correctly.

You can choose from:

Top Mount – fixed to an overhead surface such as the ceiling or the top of the recess.

Face Mount – fixed directly to the window frame or wall surface outside the recess.

Position the brackets carefully to ensure the blind moves freely without catching on handles or window frames. Place both brackets loosely on the blind and hold it in the fitting position to check the alignment before marking.

Fix the control side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Mark the bracket’s position, making sure it is level. Drill holes and secure it firmly, using raw plugs if fixing into a wall. Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket, then hold the second bracket on the opposite end, mark its position, and drill holes. Ensure it is level with the first before fixing into place.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin bracket. The spring-loaded pin allows easy mounting and removal. Next, insert the chain control end into the control bracket, ensuring the central lug points downward and locks into the cross-shaped section securely.

Operating the Blind

Once fitted, operate the blind using the side chain to raise or lower it.

P-Clip Installation

The safety device must be fixed at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to avoid the chain becoming loose.

Feed the chain through the P-clip, ensuring it is tight, with the clip positioned at the lowest point of the loop. The chain must remain under tension and move freely. Screw the tensioning device securely to the wall, keeping the chain permanently tight and safe to use.
