Inside Recess Fitting

To fit the blind inside a window recess, measure the full width and height from wall to wall.

Inside Recess Measurement Instructions

Take three width measurements across the top, middle, and bottom of the recess. Take three height measurements on the left, right, and centre.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting

Use a steel tape measure and record measurements in centimetres to the nearest millimetre. Take measurements at three points for both width and height, then use the smallest size when ordering. The factory will make any necessary deductions to ensure the blind fits correctly. Take care to measure around obstructions like tiles, handles, and rails.

Outside Recess Fitting

For blinds fitted outside the recess, they will be made to your exact measurements with no deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting

Measure the area you want the blind to cover. To block sunlight effectively, allow about 6cm overlap on each side and 7cm at the top. Bottom overlap is optional. Take care around obstructions such as tiles or rails to ensure correct positioning.

Choose either:

Top Mount – fitted to the top surface of the recess or ceiling.

Face Mount – fitted to the outside face of the window frame.

Position the brackets so the blind can move freely without touching handles or the window. Place the brackets loosely on the blind and hold it in position to check alignment before fixing.

Fix the control side bracket on the same side as the chain mechanism. Ensure it is level and not twisted, then drill holes and attach it using raw plugs if fixing to a wall.

Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Position the second bracket at the other end, check it is level with the first, mark it, then drill and secure with raw plugs.

Mounting the Blind

Insert the pin end into the pin bracket. The spring-loaded pin allows easy mounting and removal. Insert the chain mechanism into the control bracket, ensuring the central lug points downwards and locks securely into the bracket slot.

Operating the Blind

Use the side chain to raise and lower the blind smoothly.

P-Clip Installation

Install the P-clip as far as possible from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the chain. Feed the chain through the clip so it is tight, with the clip at the bottom of the loop. Fix the tension device to the wall to keep the chain under constant tension and ensure smooth operation.
