Inside Recess Measurement

To fit the blind inside a window recess, you need to measure the full width and height from wall to wall.

1. Take three measurements across the recess: at the top, middle, and bottom.
2. Take three measurements down the recess: left, right, and centre.

Guide for Inside Recess Fitting:

• Use a steel tape measure for accurate readings in centimetres, to the nearest millimetre.
• Measure width and height in three places and use the smallest measurement for ordering.
• The factory will make any necessary deductions to ensure the blind fits perfectly.
• Be careful of obstacles such as tiles, handles, or rails to ensure accuracy.

Outside Recess Measurement

If you want the blind to fit outside the recess, it will be made exactly to your measurements without any deductions.

Guide for Outside Recess Fitting:

• To block sunlight effectively, allow for 6cm overlap on each side and 7cm at the top.
• Measure the exact width of the area you want to cover.
• Take care around obstacles like tiles or rails.
• You may choose whether to have an overlap at the bottom of the window.

Please choose your preferred mounting option:

Top Mount: Fit the blind to the ceiling or top of the window recess.

Face Mount: Fit the blind to the outer face of the window frame.

• Position the brackets so the blind can operate freely without touching door handles or window frames.
• Loosely place both brackets on the blind and hold it in position in the window to check alignment. This will help you centre the blind accurately.

1. Place the control-side bracket on the same side as the chain. Mark the position carefully, ensuring it is level and straight. Drill holes and secure with raw plugs if fixing to a wall.
2. Insert one end of the blind into the mounted bracket. Position the other bracket at the opposite end, mark it level with the first, and drill and fix it in place using raw plugs if required.

Mounting the Blind:

• Insert the pin side of the blind into the pin-side bracket. The pin has a spring mechanism to make mounting and removal easier.
• Insert the control mechanism into the control-side bracket. Ensure the central lug points downwards and hooks securely into place.

Operating the Blind

Once installed, use the side chain to raise and lower the blind smoothly.

P-Clip Safety Device

• Install the P-clip as far as possible from the control mechanism to prevent the chain from becoming slack.
• Ensure the chain passes through the P-clip and sits tightly at the bottom of the loop.
• Screw the tensioning device securely along the wall, from end to end of the blind. This keeps the chain under constant tension and ensures smooth, safe operation.
